Push Notifications/SMS

Overview

šŸ’» CRM > Notifications/SMS

This feature allows admins to quickly push a message out to various any users via the App or to parents via SMS.

  • Push Notifications are temporary messages that only appear on the user's notification/lock screen on their device. However, it does rely on the user having the app installed on their device with push notifications allowed.
  • SMS is sent to the parents' listed phone number and does not require the user to have or be signed into the app.

Send via the Admin Portal

  1. Enter text (max 160 characters)
  2. Select recipients by group (everyone, all staff, day, room)
  3. (optional) Tick the box to schedule for later, then enter a date & time
  4. Click Push Notification or Schedule Notification

Send from the App

You need to be logged in as an Admin user!

  1. Go to the Notifications list (bell icon)
  2. Click the + icon (top right corner on iOS or bottom right corner on Android)
  3. Enter message (up to 160 characters)
  4. Select recipients (Everyone or Staff)
  5. Press and arrow icon to send (top right corner)

Who receives these?

šŸ’”Ā Requires the app to be installed and notifications enabled!

Send to:

  • Everyone - All active staff and parent profiles
  • All Staff - All active staff profiles
  • Monday to Sunday - All active parent profiles linked to a child with a regular booking pattern on the selected day
  • Room (name)Ā -Ā All active parent profiles linked to a child with a regular booking pattern in the selected room

Push Notifications for an Individual

  1. Go toĀ šŸ’»Ā Children > Manage Carers/Guardians
  2. Click the Tasks dropdown next to the parent's name (far right)
  3. Select Push Notification
  4. Enter your text
  5. Click on Push Notification

SMS

āš ļøCost is 5c per message/recipient

āžœ Configure this feature On/Off in Configure > Settings

  1. Enter text (max 140 characters)
  2. Select group (all parents, day, room)
  3. Select one or more parents from the filtered list (hold Ctrl/Cmd to select multiple or Shift to select a range)
    • The system will calculate the cost based on your selection before you send the message
  4. Click Send SMS

Send SMS from the App

šŸ’”Will send to Primary Parent records with a valid mobile number
  1. Go to the Notification icon in the app
  2. Select the + icon
  3. Change the page function from Notification to SMS
  4. Write your message (up to 160 characters)
  5. Select your audience in the bottom left corner (the counter next to exch option will indicate how many recipients will receive an SMS)
    • Booked Today (all children with a booking for 'today')
    • Attending (all children currently signed in)
    • Everyone (all active children)
    • Staff (all)
  6. Press the arrow in the top right corner to send

Notification/SMS History

  • Notification history is stored for up to 30 days (unless manually deleted)
  • SMS history is stored indefinitely and will show related costs/payment status
