Excursion Risk Management Plan

Overview

Approved providers, nominated supervisors and family day care educators must ensure a risk assessment is carried out before children are taken on an excursion. Authorisation must also be obtained from parents and authorised nominees." ACECQA Operational Regs 2.13 Excursions

Risk assessments must identify and assess risks that the excursion may pose to the safety, health or wellbeing of any child taken on the excursion, and specify how the identified risks will be managed and minimised.

Complete a Risk Management Plan

💡 The Risk Management Plan can be viewed by parents in the app and printed using the print icon (top right corner)

💻 Children > Excursion/Incursion

  1. Click the blue button in the Risk Assessment column for the Excursion you are completing
  2. Fill out the Excursion Details section
  3. Complete the Excursion Checklist
  4. Click the green Create New button to add a Risk Assessment
  5. Fill out the Risk Assessment modal and click Add (repeat for as many potential hazards as you can identify)
  6. Fill out the last section (plan prepared by)
  7. Click Update to save the plan
