Developmental Summaries

Overview

A Developmental Summary is similar to a school report card that you can add for children to document their learning and developmental progress. This can be completed quarterly, half-yearly, and/or annually, and can be viewed by Parents/Carers (with full access) via the app or web portal.

Steps

💻 Curriculum > Developmental Summary

  1. Click the + in the top right corner
  2. Select a Child
  3. Select their room (optional)
  4. Choose the Summary Period
  5. Pick the Summary Date
  6. Select the primary staff who is responsible for completing the summary (optional)
  7. Complete questions about the child
  8. Select any Learning Outcomes relevant to the report
  9. Enter notes relating to the Learning Outcomes selected
  10. Tag Milestones, QKLG Outcomes, and Child Goals (if applicable)
  11. Upload images of art from the child that you would like to include
  12. Enter Educator/Ed leader/Director notes
  13. Additional notes for Goals/Achievements
  14. Click Save as Draft or Publish Live
    • Parents will only have access once it is published

How to View

Staff/Admin:

💻 In the admin portal:

  1. Go to Curriculum > Developmental Summary
  2. click View Report to view a printable version of the report (this is also what the parent will see).

📱 In the app:

  1. Go to the Centre/Ratio menu (top left corner)
  2. Select a child
  3. Open the child menu (circle with 3 dots in the top right corner)
  4. Select Developmental Summary Report

Parents/Carers:

💻 In the parent portal:

  1. Go to My Children > Developmental Summary Report
  2. Select a child
  3. Click Get Report

📱 In the app:

  1. Go to the Family/Account menu (top left corner)
  2. Select a child
  3. Open the child menu (circle with 3 dots in the top right corner)
  4. Select Developmental Summary Report
