Developmental Summaries
Overview
A Developmental Summary is similar to a school report card that you can add for children to document their learning and developmental progress. This can be completed quarterly, half-yearly, and/or annually, and can be viewed by Parents/Carers (with full access) via the app or web portal.
Steps
💻 Curriculum > Developmental Summary
- Click the + in the top right corner
- Select a Child
- Select their room (optional)
- Choose the Summary Period
- Pick the Summary Date
- Select the primary staff who is responsible for completing the summary (optional)
- Complete questions about the child
- Select any Learning Outcomes relevant to the report
- Enter notes relating to the Learning Outcomes selected
- Tag Milestones, QKLG Outcomes, and Child Goals (if applicable)
- Upload images of art from the child that you would like to include
- Enter Educator/Ed leader/Director notes
- Additional notes for Goals/Achievements
- Click Save as Draft or Publish Live
- Parents will only have access once it is published
How to View
Staff/Admin:
💻 In the admin portal:
- Go to Curriculum > Developmental Summary
- click View Report to view a printable version of the report (this is also what the parent will see).
📱 In the app:
- Go to the Centre/Ratio menu (top left corner)
- Select a child
- Open the child menu (circle with 3 dots in the top right corner)
- Select Developmental Summary Report
Parents/Carers:
💻 In the parent portal:
- Go to My Children > Developmental Summary Report
- Select a child
- Click Get Report
📱 In the app:
- Go to the Family/Account menu (top left corner)
- Select a child
- Open the child menu (circle with 3 dots in the top right corner)
- Select Developmental Summary Report
