Linking Parents and Children to a Family Account

Overview

Parents and children need to be linked directly to the Family Account for generating invoices and billing families. Multiple children and parents/carers can be connected to a Family Account so that a single invoice/statement can be generated combining attendance fees and benefits for each child.

This is not the same as linking parent profiles to children for viewing posts and daily information (refer to this guide)!

How to Link

💡 There is no limit to how many parent and child profiles can be linked to a Family Account, but each profile can only be linked to one Family Account!

💻 Billing > Family Accounts

  1. Click on the family name to edit
  2. Start typing the name of each parent/carer you want to link and select the name to apply the tag
  3. Repeat for each child profile
  4. Click Update Account

How to Untag/Remove

⚠️ If you remove a child from an account, rebatching the account will remove the attendance data for that child!

  • Click the x on the tag to remove it
  • Click Update Account

Troubleshooting

The parent can't see invoices...

  • Ensure the parent is linked to the Carers/Guardians field in the Family Account
  • Ensure the parent doesn't have a duplicate profile

The parent is unable to sign the DDR form...

  • Ensure you have applied for a Merchant account and that it has been connected with your OWNA service
  • Ensure the parent is linked to the Carers/Guardians field in the Family Account
  • Ensure the details they are entering are correct
