Hours Per Booking Ratio Targets

The Hours per booking ratio helps determine the ideal number of staff hours you should roster based on the number of child bookings. The Ratio Target entered (1.8 by default) means for each child booking you can have up to 1.8 staff hours in your roster. You can then see for each day the actual booking, hours, and ratio for each day. If the total hours exceed the target, it will advise you how many attendances you will need to increase or staff hours you need to get back under the target.

The target uses the following calculation: # bookings (45) x Ratio Target (1.8) = Target Staff Hours (81)

• When the Total Staff Hours for that day in the roster are less than the target, you get a tick
• If they are higher, the calculator will tell you how many extra bookings you need or how many hours you need to reduce to reach the target

1. Enter a different value in the Ratio Target field
2. Click Get Report to recalculate
