Auto Calculate Funding
QLD Free Kindy
Overview
Queensland services operating Free Kindy can now automatically calculate free Kindy credits from their forecast which will be applied to invoices.
Calculate Funding Amount
💡 Make sure you have completed the forecast for the current/upcoming term!
- Go to 💻 Billing > State Funding Setup
- Click Autocalculate Funding Amount
- If any children are not included in the Forecast, you can manually enter their credit amounts
- Click Apply to Children
What if the amounts are not generating?
There are 3 things to consider if no amounts have been generated after clicking the Autocalculate Funding Amount:
- There is nothing forecasted for the week selected.
- There is a block-out week entered for the week selected.
- You may not have anything entered on the State Funding Setup page.
FAQ
Q: Why must I click a button if it's automatic?
A: The calculation is automatic. Triggering the process manually allows you to review the calculations and make any necessary adjustments. This will be fully automated in the future.
Q: How often should I auto-calculate?
A: We recommend re-calculating every billing cycle before running invoices
Q: What if a child wasn't included in the forecast?
A: For now, you can still enter these credits manually. This will be updated in a future release to include children not in the current forecast.
Q: I have submitted my next quarter Forecast, why isn't it calculating funding?
A: This feature uses the context of the dates in the forecast. If your first week (or any other weeks) don't have any program delivered, the calculation will assume there shouldn't be any funding for that week.
