Transaction Categories

Overview

Create your own credit and debiting categories for more customisation in your Audit Summary and Reconciliation reports.

Add Transaction Categories

Add A Debit Category

  1. Go to 💻Billing > Family Transactions
  2. Click Transaction Categories (in the quick links)
  3. Enter a description (name) for your new category
  4. Select 'Debit' from the dropdown
  5. Click Add Category Item

💡 Click Add New Item in the top right corner to clear the input fields

Add A Credit Category

  1. Go to 💻Billing > Family Transactions
  2. Click Transaction Categories (in the quick links)
  3. Enter a description (name) for your new category
  4. Select 'Credit' from the dropdown
  5. Click Add Category Item

💡 Click Add New Item in the top right corner to clear the input fields

Edit Transaction Categories

  1. Click the blue Edit button next to the category
  2. Make changes to the Description (name) and/or Status (deactivate checkbox)
  3. Click Update Category

💡 Once added, you cannot change the Debit/Credit type

Selecting Transaction Categories

When Adding Transactions to families, you can select the Transaction Category after selecting Add Debit or Add Credit.
