Overview
💡 Your QIP is always accessible to all Educators/Staff and Parents/Guardians to view via the App and Public Mode kiosk
A Quality Improvement Plan aims to help providers assess their performance in delivering quality education and care, and to aid in planning future improvements. The QIP template in OWNA is moulded after the ACECQA template available on their website.
Add/Edit the QIP
💻 Curriculum > QIP
- Enter your information in each section
- Click the Update button for each section as you are entering the information
Key Improvements
💡 Click Update QA after adding each Key Improvement to add more improvements for that quality area
- Select a Standad or Element
- Write a short description of the issue identified
- Write a short description of the goal you want to achieve
- Select the priority (L, M, H)
- List out the steps on how you aim to achieve the goal
- Describe how you will know when you have achieved the goal (success measure)
- Enter the date you are aiming to achieve this by
- Click Update QA
- After you have saved the improvement item, you can enter progress notes underneath
- Click the 'Remove' button to delete an improvement from your QIP - this action cannot be undone!
- Drag or drop images into the image upload field to document supporting evidence
Viewing the QIP
💻 Curriculum > QIP > View QIP (Quick Links)
- The service details at the top of the page will be populated with information entered in the Centre Info section (under the Centre menu)
- Use the Print icon in the top right corner to print or save a copy of your QIP.
- For each Improvement listed, you can click on the Standard or Element selected to view posts tagged using the NQS tags
- Family Feedback and Change Logs can be found at the very bottom of the page
Using Your Own QIP Document
💻 Curriculum > QIP
- Click the plus icon in the top right corner
- Click 'Choose File' and select a PDF file from your computer
- Click 'Add our own QIP'
- This will replace the OWNA QIP fields and display the PDF on the screen instead
- You can revert back to the OWNA template after refreshing the page by clicking on the link in the blue text box
