Notify Families About Invoices
Overview
Once invoices have been generated (automatically or manually) and checked, it is recommended that you notify families that their latest invoice is ready to be viewed in the app.
About Push Notifications 📳
Notifications are a temporary pop-up message on the lock screen of the recipient's device!
For families to receive notifications, they must be logged into the app using a profile linked to the Family Account and have notifications enabled for the OWNA (or custom) app on their device.
Parents/Carers can press the notification, and it will take them to their latest invoice in the app.Steps
- Go to 💻 Families > Invoices/Payments
- Check the invoices in the Invoices History to ensure they are correct
- Click 🔔 Send Notification to Families about Invoices
- This function will use the first Reference at the top of the list and send notifications to all Parents/Carers for any subsequent invoices with the same Reference.
- If your invoices are out of sequential order (e.g. an old invoice has been regenerated and is sitting at the top of the list), use the filters to list all matching invoices.
Filters
Use the reference Filter to group all invoices with the same reference before sending notifications to Families.
- Highlight to Reference text from the invoice period you want to send
- Copy the text (Ctrl+C)
- Paste the text into the Reference filter (Ctrl+V)
- Click Get Invoices

Email Invoices
Invoices can be sent via email - individually, using the Tasks menu, or for everyone, using the Bulk Actions.
