Mailchimp Integration

⚠️ Mailchimp is not an OWNA product. As such we do not provide any support or training on how to utilise this service for sending emails

Setup

In Mailchimp

  1. Create your own account in Mailchimp
  2. Create a Helpdesk ticket and provide the following information: 
    • The API Key - Click here to view instructions
    • The List/Audience ID - Click here to view instructions

💡 If you haven't already created a list, create one and then give us the list id. This list is where the email addresses added from OWNA will be sent to

Then, in OWNA...

  1. Download the Families email addresses from OWNA portal
    • Reports > Export Children/Parents Data
  2. Upload your spreadsheet of families email addresses to Mailchimp
  3. These families can be uploaded to a list called "Current Primary Contacts" or similar (this ensures it identifies these contacts when you want to email them)

Adding New Contacts to Mailchimp

For any families on your Waitlist or Enquiries dashboard, you can also Add to MailChimp to add their email address and details to the contact list.

  1. Open te Action Menu for the submission you want to add
  2. Click Add to Mailchimp
