Create & Manage Polls

Polls are a post type that allows you to ask a single question with a multiple-choice selection for up to ten answers. Polls can be deployed for Parents or Staff, and can be configured to allow a single response per person or multiple (as well as an option for 'other' options).

1. Go to 💻 Posts > Manage Posts > Polls (Tab)
   
2. Enter your Poll Question
3. Enter at least 2 options
4. (optional) Select the 'Other' checkbox if you would like users to add additional answers
5. Select a group of children (hold Ctrl to muli-select or Shift to select a range), or Select all Children (checkbox), or Staff Only
6. (optional) Select the 'Answer Multiple Times' check box if you want users to be able to answer more than once
7. (optional) Upload up to 10 attachments
8. (optional) Schedule Poll (Date and Time)
9. Click Publish Poll 

You can find polls in the 📱 Timeline (house icon) in the app.

• Select an answer to cast your vote
• If you select Other, you can enter your own answer
• Press View Result to see which options have received votes
• You can also comment and like Polls

1. Go to 💻 Posts > Manage Posts > Polls (Tab)
2. Scroll down to Current Polls

If you check the box to allow an 'other' text entry option, the system will add each answer as a unique response, rather than counting matching entries.

The order of the responses matches the order of responders underneath.

If responders add a comment to the poll post, these can be viewed in the same way as viewing comments on any post type (e.g. locating and viewing the post in the app/portal timeline or by going to Posts > View Comments in the Admin Portal.
