Completion Tracking & Marking

Learning Management System

Overview

The Completion Matrix provides a overall view of course progress by displaying a status grid of all staff members and their enrolled courses, while the Marking page allows you to dive into the specifics by reviewing, grading, and providing direct feedback on individual written quiz submissions.

Completion Stats

Overall Centre Totals
On the left side of the screen, you will find a high-level summary of your organisation's overall training progress. This includes:
  • The total number of Staff enrolled in the system.
  • The total number of active Courses.
  • The overall completion percentage, which gives you a quick snapshot of organisation-wide compliance or training completion.
Staff Summary
The main area of the page is a large grid that cross-references your employees with the courses they are assigned to take.
  • Rows (Staff): The first column lists all staff members, often alongside their job roles or titles.
  • Columns (Courses): The subsequent columns represent individual courses and the completion percentage of each one, how many attempts were made to complete the quiz, and the date it was completed.

At the top of the matrix, there is a color-coded legend to help you identify progress at a glance: Completed (Green), In progress (Yellow), Not passed (Red), and Not started (Grey).

Marking

This page allows you to review, grade, and manage user quiz submissions within the OWNA Learning Management System.

The marking section is split into two tabs:
  • Awaiting review - Submissions that have been handed in and currently need your attention.
  • Marked - Submissions that have already been graded (this is the tab currently displayed).
Each submission is displayed in its own card. When reviewing a card, you will find:
  • Submission Details - The top of the card shows the course name, the name of the user who submitted the answer (e.g., Chris Mas), and the date and time of the submission.
  • Question & Answer - Directly below the details, you will see the specific quiz question asked, followed by the user's submitted answer in a grey text block.
  • Grading Criteria - A checklist (e.g., "draft", "publish") shows the specific criteria required for the correct answer, along with the points awarded for each (e.g., 1/1 or 0/1).
AI Grading Assistant
The platform includes an AI suggestion feature designed to help you grade faster and more accurately:
  • Confidence Score & Feedback - The AI provides a score (e.g., 1/2) and a confidence percentage. It also generates a brief text summary explaining what the user got right and what they missed based on the criteria.
  • Grading Failed - Occasionally, the AI might show a "grading failed" status (0% confidence). When this happens, it means automatic grading was unavailable, and the submission requires your complete manual review.
Updating Marks and Adding Comments
At the bottom of each graded card, you can view who originally marked the assignment and when. You have several tools to modify the result:
  • Mark Field - A text box where you can manually adjust the final numerical score (e.g., entering "2" out of 2).
  • Comment (optional) - A text field where you can leave specific feedback for the user regarding their answer.
  • Save change - Click this green button to apply any updates you made to the score or comments.
  • Reopen - Click this white button if you need to reopen the submission. This is typically used if you want to undo the finalised grade and send the item back for further review or allow the user to try again.
